Award winning Director, Set and Lighting Designer with a California CTE Credential teaching grades 9-12. Energetic and resourceful in teaching students about all aspects of technical and design elements in many forms of stage production such as theatre, dance, music and special events. Highly trained and experienced in Set and Lighting Design as well as basic knowledge of sound applications and special effects. Able to work well with administration and other teachers in creating collaborative curriculum that will cross over to other classes to create a through line for learning. Discipline, dedication, creativity and independent study are applied to teaching methods to achieve the best success in every student.

Responsible for instruction in Technical Theatre for CTE Program in Media and Entertainment. Teaching classes in Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Levels with an emphasis in Stage Technology and Design for all forms of stage productions and events.

Teaching areas of Technical Theatre such as: Set Design, Set Construction, Construction Tools: Use and Safety, Rigging, Counterweight Systems, Staging, Shop Safety, Lighting Design, Light Rigging, Lighting Instrument Repair, Color Theory, Lighting Hardware and Software, Props and Their Construction, Stage Special Effects, Costuming, Make-Up and Hair Design, Stage Managing, Shop and Stage Safety, Sound Equipment, Sound Applications, Sound Design Hardware and Software.

Creating opportunities for students to gain on the job training with the creation of stage crews for school productions and after school events. Overseeing mentoring for students by students thus creating leadership opportunities for advanced students and valuable learning experience for beginning and intermediate students.

Created and continually supervising a newly formed Technical Theatre Club (Tech Club) to raise awareness for the Stage Technology classes, jobs and opportunities available on campus and outside of school. Supervising additional workshops held after school with the emphasis on teaching all aspects of Technical Theatre and Theatre Design and promoting the Tech classes and Stage Crew opportunities for new and upcoming students.
